Diasorin S.p.A. is an Italian biotechnology company based in Saluggia. The company’s business is centered on in vitro diagnostics.

The origins of the company go back to 1968 when, at the initiative of Fiat and Montecatini, Sorin Biomedica was founded from the Società Ricerche Impianti Nucleari - Sorin. In 1997, Sorin Biomedica was acquired by American Standard and the Immunonuclear Corporation (Incstar, Inc.). These two companies formed the Medical System Group of American Standard, which later became Sienna Biotech, Inc. [3] Diasorin became an independent Italian group in 2000 following a management buyout led by Carlo Rosa and Gustavo Denegri.[4]
